Family Tradition Hickory Flat

It’s been a while since we’ve been here. Glad we stopped and will be back soon. Great food and service. The house salad was good. Ate the salad then remembered I didn’t get a pic. The bathrooms were clean. My wife and I split a salad and this plate and she had sweet tea and I had water. Bill was just under 20.

We love us some Family Tradition. Plenty of parking. Seated quickly (lunch time/Sunday). Food arrived fast and correctly. Food is always excellent. It's going ol country food.

Stopped here for dinner Saturday night. The place was very busy. But we were seated immediately. Service was a bit slow, I believe short of help. The food is always good, and we never leave hungry. I like going after five, because they don't serve cheese biscuits 'til then. The staff is always friendly, and the sweet tea is refreshing. There is plenty of parking. Desserts are good, if you still have room for more. They are known for their 'Meat & Three's', (or twos). But, they have made to order burgers & sandwiches. There is always vegetable soup, too. Love the chicken livers here, also.

We just found this restaurant and tried it out, and we loved it! The portions are huge, and the food was excellent. the chicken fried steak was cooked perfectly. The chicken tenders were amazing, and the rolls were great as well. The service was friendly, and the location was great. We will be back! UPDATE - We have been back a couple of times since and have never been disappointed! Great service and amazing food. The fried green tomatoes and hush puppies were awesome, and the entres are all good.

Family Traditions is a meat and three restaurant with a good selection of vegetables. I have been coming to this restaurant since before they moved to this location. I highly recommend this restaurant as a family friendly country style place. I had fried chicken tenders, fried green tomatoes and fries. My plate was full and it was not a small plate.

A great place for a real blue plate special meat with two sides a homemade yeast roll or cornbread. Our server was Wil and was prompt with our order and recommended items on the menu. I had the grilled chicken teriyaki with yellow rice, fried okra and coleslaw with iced tea. My sister had the beef tips, a-gratin potatoes and broccoli rice casserole with iced tea and cornbread. Everything is made there fresh except the ice cream.

Went and picked up dinner tonight here. Called it in and was done pretty quickly. We ordered fried pickles. Their ranch is on the thinner side, but very tasty. We ordered a kids meat with two veggies. Chicken and dumpling with mac and cheese and fries. Also an adult chicken and dumplings with mashed potatoes, brown gravy, and side salad. I really love simple salads, and this one hit the spot. I didn't love the brown gravy, but everything was good. They were pretty busy when we picked up our food, but the staff was very friendly. Will be back.

Perfect southern food. Their chicken fried chicken with gravy is always fresh and excellent. Sides are delicious, their mac n cheese is amazing. Always get the cheddar biscuit, there is no other like it! Servers are always so warm and caring to you.
